Professor Tanweer Hasan

Tanweer Hasan is a renowned academic and scholar in the field of accounting and finance. He is currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of the Independent University, Bangladesh. Prior to this appointment, he was a professor of accounting and finance at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois, where he also served as Associate Provost.


Professor Hasan received his early education at Mirzapur Cadet College in Bangladesh. He went on to earn a B.Com degree in finance from the University of Dhaka in 1986. In 1989, he completed his MBA from Baylor University in Texas, USA. Later, he completed his Management Development Program from Harvard University. In 1993, he earned his PhD in accounting from the University of Houston in Texas.


Throughout his academic career, Professor Hasan has made significant contributions to the field of accounting and finance. He has authored and co-authored numerous scholarly articles and research papers that have been published in leading academic journals. He has also received several awards and recognitions for his research and teaching.
