Mr. Md Mustafizur Rahman PAA

Secretary to the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Ministry of Lands Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman PAA was born on 25 May 1964 in a noble Muslim family in Khulna district. His father's name is Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman and his mother's name is Begum Nurunnahar.

Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman passed his secondary examination in first class in 1979 from St. Joseph's High School and obtained his master's degree in 1981 from Government BL College. During his career, he received advanced training from Japan's JICA and Duke University in the United States.

He is a 10^th-batch officer of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) administration cadre.

He joined the office of Divisional Commissioner, Dhaka Division as Assistant Commissioner on 11 December 1991.

Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman has worked at all levels of PAA field administration and in important positions of central administration.

He was working as Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate in Faridpur and Jessore districts.

Worked as Assistant Commissioner in Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Office, Cox's Bazar.

He was working as Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Keshabpur Upazila of Jessore District.

Later he served as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Jessore District.

He served as Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate in Jessore District from 1 August 2011 to 01 July 2014.

He served as Commissioner of Sylhet Division from 06 July 2019 to 07 January 2020 with efficiency and reputation.
