Mr. MA Bari

MA Bari is a Data Scientist and currently working as the Innovation Specialist for Digital

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Development Project under Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park

Authority with funding from the World Bank Group. The broader objective of his current assignment is

to develop an ecosystem commensurate for undertaking cutting edge research and innovation to hack

some of the pressing problems the community is facing today in Bangladesh or elsewhere, incubation of

innovative products and acceleration of the startup ventures. He’s is also involved in, among others,

predictive analytics and diseases detection from different types medical images being collected from

various local sources and using deep learning tools, techniques and algorithms. Mr. Bari obtained his

Master of Data Science degree from the University of Queensland, Australia after having his bachelor’s

degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and MBA from IBA, University

of Dhaka. He on and off contributes Op-Ed articles in emerging technologies and their applications in

Bangladesh in the reputed national dailies. He also speaks in a number national and international

seminar, workshop and panel discussion, especially in the arena of emerging technologies and startup

ecosystem.
