Mr. Ziaul Hasan ndc

Ziaul Hasan ndc joined as Secretary in the Ministry of Science and Technology on 6 July 2021 and was promoted as Senior Secretary on 9 February 2022. Immediately before this assignment, he had served as Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) from 09 January 2020 to 6 July 2021. Earlier he had served as Chairman of Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO). Ziaul Hasan ndc belongs to 8th Batch of Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Cadre. He joined in December 1989 as a Probationary Assistant Commissioner at Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Gopalganj. In successive period he served in a wide range of responsibilities. He served as Assistant Commissioner (Finance), Assistant Commissioner (Land), Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Zila Parishad, Secretary of Bangladesh Sericulture Board. He served as Director at National Sports Council, General Manager at Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) and Member at Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha (RAJUK). Ziaul Hasan ndc was born in a dignified Muslim family at Ramdas Dhaniram Village of Ulipur Pourshava/Upazila in the district of Kurigram. His Father Mr. Abdul Mazid is a retired Headmaster and his mother Zohra Begum is a homemaker. He was a student of Dhaka College in the year 1979-1981. He did his graduation in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1987. He was a student of Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Engineering in BUET. Before joining his service in Administration Cadre he completed 2 semesters of the said course. With sponsorship from Brac University, he completed MA in Governance and Development (MAGD) from the university in 2014. In December 2016, he successfully completed National Defence Course (NDC) from National Defence College at Mirpur, Dhaka. He visited Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Russian Federation and the United States for attending training, meeting, seminar, conference and study tour. His wife is an Assistant Headmistress at a government high school. His elder daughter is a Lecturer at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). He has two other kids studying in undergraduate and high school levels.
