Bangladesh is poised to review its progress periodically, having set specific growth targets for the years 2026, 2031, and 2041, and there are 18 development targets to be achieved by 2030 under the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the past 30 years, Bangladesh has gained significant knowledge about industrial growth, enabling it to sidestep many of the early adoption obstacles of 4IR and immediately move to utilize more cutting-edge technology. The IR4.0 can impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Bangladesh by improving access to financial services, increasing productivity, reducing poverty, increasing healthcare access, and providing education through digital platforms and smart solutions. 4IR can also lead to job creation, promote sustainable agriculture, and improve energy efficiency. The objective of the seminar is to highlight the 4IR application instances that can turn the vision of a smart Bangladesh into reality. To achieve this, we will assemble experts from the public, private, and other sectors to argue about the problems and potential solutions.
