Bangladesh aims to achieve exports worth $5 billion from its ICT industry by 2025. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the state minister for information and communication technology (ICT), predicted that by 2025, the ICT sector will contribute five billion dollars in export revenue and a significant amount of new jobs for the nation. Software exporters anticipate that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's designation of ICT as the "Product of the Year" will encourage the country's ICT-accelerated growth and help it accomplish its US$5 billion export primary objective by 2025. To boost export revenues in the information and technology sector from the current $1 billion to $5 billion by 2025, the government is developing a strategy to encourage domestic manufacturing of digital products. In order to increase ICT export revenues to the forecasted level, BASIS leaders also pledge to collaborate closely with the government. In order to meet the $5 billion export goal by 2025, BASIS is focusing on market expansion, industry promotion, IT company capacity creation, and human resource development. Furthermore, BASIS will assist the government in formulating policies and stimulating an atmosphere that is welcoming to investments and businesses. The session will highlight that the ICT Division will develop a national portal with details of ICT products produced in the country.
