On the second day of the SoftExpo 2010 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Agargaon, Dhaka two seminars and one panel discussion were held. The titles of the seminars were: Supporting Digital Bangladesh Initiative: A Microsoft Approach; and Enhancing Government Capacity to Enforce IPR. Topic of the Panel Discussion was IP Telephony Market in Bangladesh.

In the daylong seminar on Supporting Digital Bangladesh Initiative: A Microsoft Approach jointly organized by BASIS and Microsoft Mr. Syed Ataur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh, was the Chief Guest in the morning session and Mr. Shaikh Altaf Ali, Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh, was the Chief Guest in the afternoon session.

SoftExpo 2010 kicked off today on February 10, 2010 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Agargaon, Dhaka.

Mr. Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Finance Minister, Government of Bangladesh was the Chief Guest in the SoftExpo. Lt. Col. (Retd.) Faruk Khan, Hon’ble Commerce Minister and Architect Yeafesh Osman, State Minister for Science and ICT, and Mr. Einar Jensen, Ambassador of Denmark in Bangladesh, were Special Guests. Mr. Annisul Huq, President, FBCCI and Mr. Oddavar Hesjedal, CEO, Grameenphone Ltd. were Guests of Honour. The session was chaired by Mr. Habibullah N Karim, President, BASIS. Mr. A Towhid, Chairman, National Events Committee, was also present.
